The question is, who are you? Are you the kind of person who wonders if the government is up to a whole lotta bad? Do you look up, out, or around and see connections between major events or phenomena and government oppression? If so, you'll probably like, or even love, this little book. It's an easy read which connects the dots between bad things you may already know about (eg. 9/11) and ever growing government. You'd probably give this five stars.On the other hand, you might think government is doing its best to defend our freedom and provide for our poor. Conspiracy theorist attacks on government simply serve to undermine the civilization we've long fought to develop and maintain. You're not inclined to believe any of the conspiracies, especially if they undermine the life you've come to know and love. You'd give this negative stars if you could, and it's unlikely to convince you otherwise.
So maybe everyone (the author included) will be frustrated at my three stars. Why three? Not simply to compromise or seek some middle ground. Rather, because this book has important weakness, but also important strengths.
I can't engage in the complexity necessary to debate the finer points here, but I'm familiar enough with the conspiracies mentioned in the book to conclude that several of them are not well aligned with reality. I would rate quite low for proposing questionable conspiracies without adequate defense if that's all there were too the book. However, the presence of hidden or doubtful conspiracies is not necessary for the remaining conclusions to be true. In essence, the premise of the conspiracy theorist (of this sort) is this: government conspired to cause A, B, and C, so that they could do bad-things X, Y, and Z. It is my opinion that bad-things X, Y, and Z do and should stand on their own as bad things. Therefore, the conspiracy theories, true or not, are accessories or even distractions to bad things X, Y, and Z.
About the nature of bad-thing X, Y, and Z, I find much agreement with the author. For this reason, I give the book higher marks. Whether or not the cited phenomena occur at all (eg. chem trails), or whether or not they are caused by some secret government conspiracy (eg. 9/11), the truth is the government's response has been to ratchet up the oppression at every convenient opportunity. The examples in the book, true or not in their conspiracy theory elements, do illustrate that point quite well. That truth is one worth talking about, and I am glad to see one more person doing just that.
Most important is the suggestion that we seek the truth. Whether or not it is found in this book is up to you to discern. But I will join the author in wholeheartedly encouraging you to evaluate everything that comes your way. We may mistake the truth for a lie from time to time, but when we stop looking for truth, we will surely be deceived. Indeed, the more truth we understand, the more clearly we see the world. If nothing else, this book should encourage you to relentlessly pursue truth, and that is worthwhile.

I enjoyed "The Truth Torpedo". It's an excellent primer for those interested in finding the rips in our social fabric that should be obvious to all but which are obscured by the fog of deception. Fear, guilt and sorrow are employed by the power brokers to divert our attention even though Hermann Goering explained this all very eloquently at the Nuremberg trials last century. Obviously humanity wasn't paying attention then and it appears many are not paying attention now.
Manipulation of the masses works best when you control all media and Brian has done an great job bringing attention back to key issues which need examination. He has brought us back to things we all better focus on if we are going to change the world for the better. Many educated and confused people want to lead us away from the truth of 9/11 and we really need to ask some elementary questions. The evidence is piling up for anyone willing to open their eyes. If those educated people are not confused, I suggest then they have an agenda.
The Republicrats blame each other for declining social structure as they ease us toward the next war. Most people are oblivious to the fact America is the current empire in decline as our drones continue to act as judge, jury and executioner for those innocents standing a little too close to the perceived guilty. America has overextended militarily as infrastructure collapses and this Fascist state is more concerned about manipulating the electorate than it is about feeding the growing ranks of poverty stricken. In a time of universal deceit asking uncomfortable questions is the only path to resolving an uncomfortable truth. Brian has done his part to move us in that direction. We should start asking questions, and start moving.
I like the LBT pamphlet- it covers a lot, and I agree in full with 6 of 7. It is an effective wake-up call. Putting 9/11 at the top is right- it is an enormous, blatant inside-job crime, along with an equally blatant destruction of a crime scene, followed by an amazingly obvious cover-up. No good can come from ignoring 9/11, yet many do. Thank you for putting 9/11 front and center. Obama did nothing to pursue truth or justice relating to 9/11. If Obama had been the "real change", indictments would have been flying through the air immediately after he assumed office. Again, you are right about the cabal at the top- that is a fact. The GOTUS is a monster that thrives on our nationalistic patriotism (it wants to be loved!) and it feeds by taxing- also by the Federal Reserve. In any case, we, the 99+%, are the hosts in a parasitic relationship. It looks to me that the global warming thing, even if true, will ultimately be used to suck more money out of our pockets by way of global taxes, and I have no doubt that the cabal at the top will not be paying them- it'll fall on us 99+%ers. By the way, I am all for alternate energy and conservation of resources and NOT poisoning the world. There are many scary things happening- the Fukushima disaster is ongoing, and over a thousand reactors on the planet continue to produce radioactive wastes (and a lot of heat). There are numerous plastics, pesticides and other toxic chemicals poisoning the world. Carbon dioxide is not a toxin, but a product of respiration and a product of burning carbon-containing substances. Anyway, in my estimation, six out of seven of your points are absolutely correct, but global warming is still open for further research and discussion.
I like Wright's book, both for what he says and how he says it- it is brief and covers a lot. It is written in the spirit of pamphlets from earlier centuries, both in form- it fits in a pocket- and in substance- it delivers an effective combination of punches.
